I am wondering if anyone knows of a good place to source old Super Beetle parts? I have various bits and bobs that need attending to... wondering if there’s some good online outlets to scour before I go to the annual Bug-In.

Got parts for my Dad from www.cip1.com, prices good and parts decent. Have heard good things about Wolfsburg West, and a lot of classic Beetle parts are available at VW dealers within a day or two if you need something fast.

aircooled.net
thesamba.com
jbugs.com
westcoastmetrics.com
socalautoparts.com
The dealer section of thesamba is pretty good.
So there is a Type 1 guy here. I plan on getting another one at some point.

Being Australian, I tend to get many bits straight from Europe via VW Heritage in the UK and I know they send stuff to the US. Locally, for air cooled, Mick Motors is popular.

Cip1 is a great site, don’t know how much their super catalog covers though. JBugs as well.
Thesamba or local clubs are you best bet for good prices.

In the early 2000s the best place I used to get aircooled parts was at NOPI. Then they sport import craze took over the store, and I got a good deal on their remaining parts.

I really like Bughaus. Decent prices and quality.
